The number of outlets needed, how to conceal the wiring under walls, how to control communication line to the security provider can be planned with your builder during the construction process.
Hardwired systems give the comfort though in an old-fashioned way. Generally all the commercial alarms are hardwired. Even in wireless systems, some of the devices require some amount of hard wiring. This can include Power transformer, the electrical ground wire, telephone connections and keypads/arming stations.
